Nick Hammond is the founder and operator of Diamond West Construction LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business built on more than two decades of hands-on construction experience. His journey began on a tobacco farm in North Carolina, where he was raised by a family that believed in the value of hard work, self-reliance, and personal integrity. Under the guidance of his grandfathers, Nick learned early on that grit, precision, and follow-through are the foundation not just of farming—but of building anything meaningful. That deep-rooted work ethic would go on to define every chapter of his career.

After serving in the U.S. military, Nick entered the construction industry in 2005, quickly taking on leadership responsibilities by managing the development of a 32-unit townhome complex in South Phoenix. Soon after, he built his first custom home and continued managing a series of high-end residential projects. When the 2009 housing market crash shifted the landscape, Nick adapted—transitioning into overseas contracting for the U.S. State Department. There, he managed more than $100 million in commercial construction across some of the most remote and challenging environments in the world. Those experiences sharpened his ability to lead under pressure, coordinate complex logistics, and deliver uncompromising quality—no matter the conditions.

Returning to the United States in 2014, Nick rejoined his family's Arizona-based construction business. Over the next several years, he managed several elite custom home builds, including an 18,000-square-foot estate valued at $20 million, along with more than a dozen other luxury residences in the $2 to $5 million range. In 2021, drawing from everything he had learned—from the fields of North Carolina to high-security compounds overseas—Nick launched Diamond West Construction under his own license, with a vision to raise the bar in both commercial and residential construction.

Today, Diamond West Construction is known for executing technically complex, high-value projects with precision and integrity. Notable past work includes an $8 million commercial renovation for a global semiconductor firm, a $10 million multi-level concrete parking structure, and a $35 million, 150,000-square-foot precision manufacturing facility for an advanced industrial client. On the residential side, Nick has overseen multiple $2 million–plus custom homes, including a $2 million luxury remodel involving major structural upgrades and a $3.5 million ground-up residence with premium finishes and full design-build delivery.

Nick’s current portfolio includes multiple luxury home renovations ranging from $5 million to $20 million, reflecting his deep expertise in managing high-end residential construction. He is also leading technical facility upgrades for major aerospace and defense clients, with projects ranging from $50,000 to $20 million.
